Hamza Bencherif (born 2 February 1988 in Paris, France) is an Algerian footballer. He currently plays for Notts County.

Bencherif started his career with Nottingham Forest, but never made a first-team appearance. He was loaned out to Lincoln City in October 2007, where he made 12 Football League Two appearances, scoring once against Chesterfield.[1] He was released by Forest at the end of the 2008–09 season and joined Macclesfield Town on a one-year deal.
He became a first team regular in the first half of the season at the Moss Rose, but a broken ankle in a game away at Rochdale ended his season.In May 2010 Bencherif extended his stay at the Moss Rose until summer 2011 when he signed a new one year deal. On 23 June 2011, Bencherif signed for Notts County.[2]
He has seven caps for the Algerian Under 20 National Team.[3][4]
